Web Hosting Services Manager
We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable individual to oversee our web hosting services. As the Web Hosting Services Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our web hosting infrastructure. You will collaborate with various teams to manage server configurations, monitor system health, and troubleshoot technical issues. Additionally, you will stay updated on industry trends and best practices to optimize our hosting environment and enhance the overall customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain our web hosting infrastructure, including servers, networks, and data centers.
- Implement and optimize server configurations to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Monitor system health and performance metrics to identify and address any issues proactively.
- Respond to technical support tickets and inquiries from customers in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new hosting solutions and technologies.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and protocols to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Plan and execute regular backups, disaster recovery procedures, and security audits.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in web hosting.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members, including training and knowledge sharing.
- Continuously assess and optimize our hosting infrastructure to improve efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing web hosting services in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of web hosting technologies, including servers, operating systems, and networking.
- Proficiency in server administration tools and scripting languages (e.g., Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).
- Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies (e.g., VMware, Docker).
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) are a plus.
