System Administrator
We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator with expertise in Web Hosting Management, particularly in cPanel & WHM, Cloudflare, DigitalOcean, and security best practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing server infrastructure, ensuring website uptime, optimizing performance, and securing hosting environments.
Key Responsibilities:
System Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux-based and Windows servers.
- Monitor server performance, uptime, and resource usage.
- Troubleshoot system issues and optimize server performance.
- Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, malware protection, and access controls.
- Automate system processes using scripts (Bash, Python, etc.).
- Manage database servers (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
Web Hosting & Server Management:
- Administer and optimize cPanel & WHM for web hosting operations.
- Configure and manage web servers (Apache, Nginx, LiteSpeed).
- Troubleshoot website and email hosting issues.
- Manage and configure Cloudflare for DNS, CDN, and security optimizations.
- Deploy and manage cloud hosting services on DigitalOcean, AWS, or similar platforms.
- Set up and manage SSL certificates, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
Security & Performance Optimization:
- Implement and maintain security policies to protect websites and servers.
- Monitor for security threats, apply patches, and conduct vulnerability assessments.
- Optimize website speed and server performance using caching, CDN, and other techniques.
- Ensure compliance with industry security standards and best practices.
Technical Support & Client Management:
- Provide technical support for website hosting clients or internal teams.
- Assist with migrations, domain configurations, and troubleshooting hosting-related issues.
- Document processes and provide training for non-technical team members as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a System Administrator and Web Hosting Manager.
- Strong expertise in cPanel & WHM, DNS management, and server administration.
- Experience with Cloudflare (CDN, WAF, DNS, and security optimizations).
- Hands-on experience with DigitalOcean, AWS, or other cloud hosting providers.
- Proficiency in Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, AlmaLinux, Debian, etc.) and command-line management.
- Knowledge of web server technologies like Apache, Nginx, and LiteSpeed.
- Experience with database management (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with website security best practices and tools like Imunify360, ModSecurity, and CSF Firewall.
- Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or PowerShell) for automation.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications like RHCE, LPIC, AWS Certified SysOps, or cPanel/WHM certifications are a plus.
- Experience with WordPress hosting environments and optimization.
- Understanding of DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible) is an advantage.
