QA Testing Specialist

About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy QA Tester to join our web development team. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, usability, and performance of websites built on WordPress, Laravel, Node.js, and other modern web frameworks. This role requires strong collaboration with developers, designers, and project managers to deliver error-free, responsive, and user-friendly websites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct end-to-end QA testing of WordPress, Laravel, and Node.js websites pre- and post-launch.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera – desktop & mobile).
• Thoroughly test forms (contact, quote, newsletter, surveys) for:
  • Required field validation
  • Selection types (single/multi/dropdowns)
  • Correct email routing and submission tracking
• Verify website responsiveness across desktop, tablet, and mobile screens.
• Test key functional components:
  • Navigation menus
  • Pop-ups, modals
  • Sliders, accordions, and tabs
  • Third-party plugin/integration functionality
• Validate website speed and performance using tools like Google Lighthouse, GTmetrix.
• Confirm UI/UX consistency against Adobe XD mockups.
• Conduct W3C validation and perform basic WCAG accessibility checks.
• Track, document, and follow up on bugs using Trello, Asana, or similar tools.
• Collaborate with the development team to retest after issue resolution.

• Browser & Device Testing: BrowserStack, LambdaTest
• Developer Tools: Chrome DevTools, Firefox Inspector
• Performance Testing: Google Lighthouse, GTmetrix
• Form Testing: WPForms, Gravity Forms, Ninja Forms
• Bug Tracking & Collaboration: Trello,Google Workspace, Asana
  

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of QA testing experience (especially for WordPress or custom-built sites)
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript fundamentals
• Experience testing custom WordPress themes, with working knowledge of commonly used page builders and plugins (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery), for compatibility and conflict checks.
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles
• Ability to write clear, reproducible bug reports
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Comfortable working with both frontend and backend workflows (including API & database-level checks where needed)
• Must have knowledge of working with Google Workspace tools (Google Docs, Sheet, Keep, Calendar, Drive etc)

Valued Skills:

• Experience with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
• Familiarity with Laravel/Node.js environments and API testing
• Understanding of basic SEO practices and usage of analytics tools
• Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards
• Previous experience in a Digital Agency or fast-paced production environment

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field
  (or equivalent hands-on experience in QA testing)
