Full Stack Web Developer
We are looking for an experienced full-stack web developer with expertise in WordPress development to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in WordPress theme and plugin development, PHP/MySQL, and frontend expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. As a Full Stack Web Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining WordPress websites, ensuring functionality, and collaborating with design and content teams. This role is an on-site, night shift position from 8 PM to 4 AM.
Responsibilities:
- Customize and develop WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code using PHP/MySQL.
- Design and implement responsive website layouts using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize websites for performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website functionality, user experience, and server performance.
- Collaborate with design and content teams to create user-friendly website interfaces.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in WordPress development.
- Ensure websites are optimized for speed, performance, and SEO best practices.
- Set up and manage WooCommerce stores and other e-commerce plugins.
- Ensure the payment gateways and shopping carts are secure and functional.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services with WordPress websites.
- Provide maintenance and technical support for existing WordPress websites.
- Maintain a high level of security and implement best practices to safeguard websites against vulnerabilities.
Qualifications:
- Obtain a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in WordPress theme development, plugin development, and customization.
- Strong knowledge of CSS, HTML, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience with WordPress multisite, custom post types, and advanced custom fields.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
- Proficiency in using Git for version control.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting during night shifts.
- Experience with WordPress performance optimization tools and techniques is a plus.
