DevOps

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to automate deployment pipelines, streamline hosting operations, and introduce scalable infrastructure practices. This role will work closely with the System Administrator to enhance automation, reduce manual deployments, and build a robust CI/CD ecosystem for our hosted client websites.

This position focuses on long-term scalability, automation, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

A. CI/CD Pipeline & Deployment Automation

• Build automated deployment pipelines for websites and applications
• Implement staging → production workflows using Git-based processes
• Reduce manual deployment errors via automation scripts
• Integrate version control–based deployment strategies

B. Infrastructure Automation & Optimization

• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Ansible or Terraform
• Automate server provisioning, configuration, and patching
• Standardize deployment environments across all hosting accounts
• Improve release cycles with zero-downtime deployment techniques

C. Monitoring, Logging & Observability

• Implement centralized logging and alerting systems
• Build monitoring dashboards for server health & performance
• Create proactive alerts for failures, downtime, or anomalies
• Optimize incident detection and response automation

D. Collaboration & Team Enablement

• Work closely with System Administrator to enhance automation
• Collaborate with developers for CI/CD adoption
• Document deployment workflows and automation runbooks
• Provide training to internal teams on CI/CD best practices

E. Mentoring & Process Improvement

• Mentor developers on Git-based deployment workflows
• Promote DevOps culture and continuous integration practices
• Introduce automation-first mindset across hosting operations
• Conduct periodic workshops on automation & scalability tools

F. Critical Availability Requirement

• Assist during major infrastructure incidents affecting deployments
• Support rapid rollback, hotfix deployments, and release recovery
• Ensure deployment pipelines remain functional during emergencies

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
• Infrastructure automation using Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools
• Bash/Python scripting for automation workflows
• Experience with cloud-based hosting environments
• Knowledge of logging, monitoring, and alerting frameworks
• Strong collaboration and documentation skills

Preferred / Bonus Skills

• Docker/containerization experience (optional future scope)
• Familiarity with hosting environments running multiple client websites
• Experience optimizing deployment workflows for WordPress or PHP apps
